TAROVERIE / COLORS
Tarot colors
Color is one part of a card’s visual language. Find the color first, then read the object, gesture and surrounding scene.
These nine entries compare colors in the Rider–Waite–Smith deck. Associations vary by deck, tradition and printing; a color alone is not a prediction.

CLIFF
The cliff
Boundaries · Choice · The unknown
The rock ends ahead of the Fool’s feet while the figure looks upward. The cliff creates a gap between the direction of attention and the information needed for walking.
An edge is first a feature of the depicted terrain, not a forecast of an accident. It makes the consequences of a step worth noticing. Openness and care can coexist without reducing the choice to courage versus retreat.
