Temperance

What does this stop reveal?

Temperance explores measured integration through the water flowing between two cups. Read it as an invitation to examine present choices, relationships and actions, not as a fixed prediction. Find a sustainable balance through small adjustments. Reversal can highlight imbalance or impatient shortcuts, or a process turning inward; the question, position and neighboring cards matter.

Try a proportion, then listen to the result

Water moves between cups while one foot meets water and the other land. After an ending, adjustment may begin with the balance of work and rest or solitude and contact. Temperance concerns experiments and feedback, not always taking a midpoint. A compromise still needs to respect real limits, needs and differences in power.

Arriving here

Death lets an old form leave; Temperance recombines the resources that remain. Recovery or adjustment may proceed through repeated small changes rather than an instant new identity.

Moving onward

Change one daily proportion for three days and record the response. Keep necessary refusals clear. The Devil next asks whether an apparently balanced exchange leaves everyone free to choose.
