TAROVERIE / COLORS
Tarot colors
Color is one part of a card’s visual language. Find the color first, then read the object, gesture and surrounding scene.
These nine entries compare colors in the Rider–Waite–Smith deck. Associations vary by deck, tradition and printing; a color alone is not a prediction.
Yellow
Yellow makes a scene bright and its figures and outlines easier to see.
Meaning
A wide yellow sky and a small yellow object do different work. Compare the Fool’s bright sky with the cliff at his feet, and the Sun’s open scene. Brightness does not guarantee safety.
