TAROVERIE / COLORS

Tarot colors

Color is one part of a card’s visual language. Find the color first, then read the object, gesture and surrounding scene.

These nine entries compare colors in the Rider–Waite–Smith deck. Associations vary by deck, tradition and printing; a color alone is not a prediction.

Orange

Orange, ochre and golden yellow vary between editions. Warm hues can make an object stand out.

Meaning

The Wheel of Fortune’s warm wheel emphasizes the center; the Sun’s orange-yellow flowers belong to a growing environment. Compare their uses rather than treating either as a pure orange specimen. Warmth does not guarantee luck or support from the universe.
