TAROVERIE / COLORS
Tarot colors
Color is one part of a card’s visual language. Find the color first, then read the object, gesture and surrounding scene.
These nine entries compare colors in the Rider–Waite–Smith deck. Associations vary by deck, tradition and printing; a color alone is not a prediction.
Blue
Blue appears in the High Priestess’s clothing and the Star’s sky. One area is close to a figure, the other opens a background; consider size, placement, and nearby lines.
Meaning
Blue may be the material colour of clothing or the background of a distant space. It alone cannot establish calmness or emotional coldness. Compare its relation to pillars, stars, land, and water.
