Lightning

Disruption may prompt a reading of structural shock, not a disaster forecast. Its causes and who bears the consequences cannot be dismissed as necessary change.

Follow bolt, rooftop, and falling figures to connect event and consequence. The structure has not vanished; remaining walls coexist with interrupted stability.

Rider–Waite–Smith image context: A flash strikes the Tower and dislodges its crown. Reference: A. E. Waite, The Pictorial Key to the Tarot, corresponding chapter: https://sacred-texts.com/tarot/pkt/pktar16.htm. The image observation and our contemporary reading are distinct; this reference does not establish a universal meaning or an ancient origin for the motif.

When plans break down, assess safety, urgent tasks, and what can wait. Do not romanticize loss for renewal or demand an immediate positive meaning.

When an explanation fails, not knowing is permissible. Lightning proves no divine punishment, and a shocked person owes nobody a story of awakening.
